So Fine

The earth makes meals
Of all its stories. All the broken
Hearts that ever were, the earth
Lays flat, indifferently with
Broken bones and hoola hoops
And polar bears and the
Top one hundred hits of 1969,
Grinding all so fine, so fine.


I’ve retired after a career teaching law. I divide my time now between Athens, Georgia, in the States and the south coast of Ireland.
