If You Knew

If you knew for sure,
For very sure, that no judgment
Awaited you beyond the grave,
That nothing you did
Or omitted to do
Meant hell or anything,
Would you drop your
Conscience off at the
Charity shop and
Live some bucket list
Of mean? Or would you
Take greater care
Than ever not to
Give offense or hurt,
Being answerable
Only to yourself?
